Stepping with Seitlhamo Motsapi: Direction for South African Poetry

The article argues that the poetry of Seitlhamo Motsapi represents a new aesthetic direction for post-apartheid South African poetry. Instead of relying on traditional political protest themes, Motsapi’s work emphasizes humanism, personal reflection, cultural identity, and spiritual depth. His poetry is presented as a model for renewing South African literature through simplicity, introspection, and artistic innovation.
