This study evaluated the dynamics of the fungal community in acidic Typic Hapludult soil under three conditions: untreated soil, BSF frass, and ameliorant-treated soil. For each condition, 1000 g of material was placed in plastic containers and incubated at room temperature for three months. The ameliorant-treated condition consisted of 5 g BSF frass, 5 g lime, 2.5 g homogenized arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi inoculum, and 987.5 g soil. Fungal communities were characterized using Illumina-based next-generation sequencing, while soil chemical parameters were analyzed by spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectrometry. Metabarcoding analysis provides novel evidence that ameliorant application restructured fungal communities in acidic soils and changed soil chemical properties. Order Onygenales and families Aspergillaceae, Chaetomiaceae, and Terramycetaceae correlated positively with soil pH, base cations (K<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em; color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif;">+<span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">, Na<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em; color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif;">+<span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">, Ca<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em; color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif;">2+<span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">, and Mg<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em; color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif;">2+<span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">), and soil organic carbon, and negatively with Al<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 0; position: relative; vertical-align: baseline; top: -0.5em; color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif;">3+<span style="color: rgb(31, 31, 31); font-family: ElsevierGulliver, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, STIXGeneral, "Cambria Math", "Lucida Sans Unicode", "Microsoft Sans Serif", "Segoe UI Symbol", "Arial Unicode MS", serif, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">.
